How to reach us and pick-up service

At the starting point for rafting on the river Tara, in the heart of the canyon, miles away from modern civilization and at the beginning of the most exciting rafting section there is place called Brstanovica and Camp Encijan on it, one of the most beautiful campsites by the Tara River and only Camp at the Bosnian bank of the river. Encijan rafting camp is located in the lower part of the Tara River Canyon, on Bosnian – right bank.  Fifteen kilometers downstream, there is a border crossing Šćepan Polje (Hum), from where starts the access road, by which is possible to reach our camp.

The aforementioned road extends along the Montenegrin side of the Canyon and ends in Brstanovica. It is covered with asphalt. Other route goes from town of Foca to Brstanovica or Camp Encijan, in total length of 52 km. For those of you who do decide to come to us on their own, here are coordinates that you need, N 43 19.308 E 18 57.617. Brstanovica is the starting point for the most attractive rafting section among 100 kms navigable part of the river Tara. Due to excellent location of the Camp Encijan, it is unavoidable stop for all who are looking for adventure or simply a place to vacation, and find themselves in the heart of the canyon.

When you come to Foca, continue towards Niksic (main road Foča-Niksic, M 18). At the border crossing Hum you will leave Bosnia, cross the bridge on the Tara River, followed by checking at the border crossing Scepan Polje (entrance to Montenegro).After checking the documents on the border crossing, you need to tell them that you are going to the Tara canyon, Brstanovica. After checking in, turn around and go back  100m where you turn off right from the main road then turn on the local (asphalt) road which leads to the Tara River, Brstanovica. After checking at the border crossing, you need to contact us at the following telephone numbers:Camp satellite number +387 58 480 280; Camp mobile number: + 387 64 4004 905. Both phones are always available, so there won’t be a problem to contact us. After  turning off the main road, you landmark will be a toll ramp and a white toll house on the left. At the sixth mile from the turn to the local road, you will come to the crossroad and turn left at the orange kiosk and follow the asphalt to the end without turning to the connection roads. When you come to  the end of the asphalt, you need to park your cars on a macadam road in the right line.

After coming to Montenegrian boarder called Scepan Polje and after checking your documents by the policemen, you have to say how you are going to Tara Canyon (Camp Encijan). Because in that case you are not going out of Montenegro and you don’t need to check out on the Boarder. After this procedure  you are going to continue your trip. After 100m going  forward, you are going right from the primary road and go on on local asphalt road next to the Tara River toward Brstanovica. After  preclusion from the main road, your orientation is a    white toll house and toll ramp which is placed on the left side. On the 6th km you are coming on the crossover and you are going left. There will be a small orange shop on that crossover and from it you are going left.   Just go straight. Keep going on the asphalt road. When you come until the end of this asphalt road, leave your cars on macadam parking in the right track. What is important – when you come to Montenegrian boarder, please call one of those 2 numbers: +38758 480 280 (this is a number from the Camp) +387 64 4004 905 (Camp mobile number) so that someone (mostly skipers) can transfer you (over the water) from the parking to another side where is our camp.

Instructions from Belgrade to Camp Encijan

When you go out of from Belgrade you will go along the main road M5 via Cacak and Uzice to the border crossing Vardiste, then continue the road toward Foca via Visegrad and Gorazde. From Foca, continue towards Niksic (main road Foča-Niksic, M 18). What to visit on your way to us

On your road from Belgrade we recommend you to visit to visit two cities (Andricgrad-Visegrad and Tourist resort Drvengrad-Mokra Gora-Srbija). Both cities represent the realization of our famous director Emir Kusturica and they are the seal of time of his life. In Visegrad what we will visit first is the historic monument called Mehmed Pasa Sokolovic Bridge.  It is a historic bridge in Visegrad, over the Drina River in eastern Bosnia and Herzegovina It was completed in 1577 by the Ottoman court architect  on the order of the Grand Vizier Mehmed Pasa Sokolovic. Unesco included the bridge in its 2007 World Heritage List.

When you go out of Mostar follow the road M6.1 and go to Nevesinje, then from Nevesinje to Gacko. From Gacko follow the road M20 over passage Cemerno to Tjentiste and Foca.
