Visegrad is a small town in eastern BiH, located at the confluence of the Rzav and Drina rivers.
He is best known for his "Ćuprija", a bridge built by the famous Turkish vizier Mehmed-pasha Sokolović as his endowment to the region from which he originated. Our celebrated writer Ivo Andrić won the Nobel Prize for Literature for his novel "The Bridge on the Drina", and it was this bridge and the historical background associated with it that were his main inspiration.
Today, next to the famous bridge, one of the main attractions in Visegrad is Andrićgrad,a visionary project of the famous director Emir Kusturica. Andrićgrad itself was conceived as a cultural and historical monument within which there is a museum, library, cinema and it represents certain legacy of the director to future generations.
After breakfast is packing things and a bus journey to Visegrad and Mokra Gora the Wet Mountain in English. Through this excursion we are going to visit two cities (An-dricgrad-Visegrad and Tourist resort Drvengrad-Mokra Gora-Srbija).
Both cities represent the realization of our famous director Emir Kusturica and they are the seal of time of his life. In Visegrad what we will visit first is the historic monument called Mehmed Pasa Sokolovic Bridge. It is a historic bridge in Visegrad, over the Drina River in eastern Bosnia and Herzegovina It was completed in 1577 by the Ottoman court architect on the order of the Grand Vizier Mehmed Pasa Sokolovic.
It was completed in 1577 by the Ottoman court architect on the order of the Grand Vizier Mehmed Pasa Sokolovic. Unesco included the bridge in its 2007 World Heritage List. This story wouldn’t be this much interested unless we don’t mention how Mehmed was taken away at an early age as part of the Ottoman devsirme system of collection of Christian boys to be raised to serve as a janissary.
These boys were converted to Islam, raised and educated, but in turn were of-fered opportunities to work and to rise within the Ottoman imperial system. After this we are going to visit Andricgrad. Andricgrad is the name of a construction project located in Visegrad, by film director Emir Kusturica.
The town is dedicated to Yugoslav novelist and Nobel Prize winner Ivo Andric. After Visegrad we will head to Mokra Gora. After arrival we will buy train tickets and start the tour at the Sargan Eight, is a narrow-gauge heritage railway in Serbia, running from the village of Mokra Gora to sargan Vitasi station.
On this way, the same geographical point runs twice. After arrival to the railway station we are going to visit Drvengrad, a "city" built by our famous director Emir Kusturica. Everything in Drvengrad is about film, especially in the middle of January, when the "Kustendorf" film and music festival is held here. There we will spend a night.

Zelengora is one of the most beautiful mountains in Bosnia and Herzegovina, well known by its lakes called “mountain eyes” – clear glacial lakes, green pastures and meadows, and endless forests.
Zelengora offers unlimited possibilities for an active type of vacation, but above all it is a place where you can rest your soul. Hiking, walking, biking on neat and marked trails, swimming in one of the crystal clear lakes, collecting herbs, berries and mushrooms are just some of the activities that are an outlet for visitors, emphasizing a person's return to lost inner peace.

These lakes are real gems scattered by God’s hand, and as such represent a true paradise for nature lovers. The natural environment of the lake is untouched na-ture that provides a magnificent view to crystal-clear water. Trebinje is the southernmost city in Bosnia and Herzegovina, located on the banks of the river Trebisnjica in the region of Eastern Herzegovina.
It is a city of wine, poets, sun and monasteries, and it is said to be one of the most beautiful cities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and as the largest city in the region, it is the economic and cultural center of Eastern Herzegovina.
Rich cultural and historical background, Mediterranean climate and proximity to the Adriatic Sea (25 km away from Dubrovnik) are key factors that have made Trebinje an attractive tourist destination that is definitely worth a visit. We will spend the eighth day of our trip through BiH in the south of our country, in sunny Trebinje.
When you come to the city, you will feel as if you are somewhere on the coast, except only one "little" thing is missing, and that is the sea.
The smell of salt caused by a mild summer breeze from the Adriatic is something specific for this city, and don't be surprised if you see a cormorant hunting its lunch on Trebišnjica. We are going to visit Old Town, Museum of old Herzegovina. This museum is the most significant cultural place in our country.
We will also visit wineline, and they are an stamp of this small but significant place which is not a metropolis nor village nor a metaphor, it is a dream. We will spend one night in Trebinje.
Mostar is located on the Neretva River and is the fifth largest city in the country. Mostar was named after the "Mostari" medieval guardians of the Old Bridge over the Neretva, a building for which the city is widely known.
The Old Town, which "connects" to the Old Bridge, is an attractive location for all tourists and is the most visited part of the city. It is the administrative, economic and cultural center of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, one of the two entities in BiH.After breakfast we are leaving Trebinje and over place called Capljina are going toward Mostar. On this road near Capljina we will make a break to visit Pocitelj. The historic site of Počitelj is located on the left bank of the river Neretva. The walled town of Počitelj evolved in the period from the 16th to the 18th centuries.
Architecturally, the stone- constructed parts of the town are a fortified complex, in which two stages of evolution are evident: medieval, and Ottoman. After this visit we will continue our road to Mostar, where we are going to have lunch, dinner and spend a night in one of the hotels. When we mention Mostar, what is dominant is Old Bridge in this city.
Rebuilt 16th-century Ottoman bridge in the city of Mostar in Bosnia and Herzegovina that crosses the river Neretva and connects the two parts of the city.Old Bridge diving is a traditional annual competition in diving organized every year in mid summer (end of July). The historic town of Mostar, spanning a deep valley of the Neretva River, developed in the 15th and 16th cen-turies as an Ottoman frontier town and during the Austro-Hungarian period in the 19th and 20th centuries.
Mostar has long been known for its old Turkish houses and Old Bridge, after which it is named. The Old Bridge was recently rebuilt and many of the edifices in the Old Town have been restored or rebuilt with the contribution of an international scientific committee established by UNESCO. Beside the bridge we are going to visit Biscevic House, Turkish House Museum with a courtyard, showcasing furnishings such as rugs, silver and ceramics. This hoes was built in 17th century in Ottomman time.
