Tara rafting camp Encijan - Tara Canyon
Overview
A three-day tour that includes one day of rafting on the Tara from Brštanovica to Šćepan Polje, the most spectacular section for rafting with the highest concentration of rapids, and one day for an excursion along the rim of the Tara canyon, where at an altitude of 1000 m you have the chance to visit a horse stud farm. If you opt for the optional activities, you can ride purebred Arabian horses along the canyon rim or in an enclosed arena with the experienced members of the "Velenići" equestrian club. In their outdoor center you also have the chance to experience the canyon in a slightly different way through the adrenaline activities of zip line and via ferrata.
Itinerary
After arriving at the Hum–Šćepan Polje border crossing at the roughly agreed time, in the afternoon between 4 and 6 PM, a half-hour drive through the pleasant setting of the Tara River canyon follows, to the locality of Brštanovica, which is also the starting point for rafting and where our Camp Encijan is located. At Brštanovica itself, secure parking for personal vehicles is provided for all participants of the package. Upon arrival at the camp, after a welcome drink, guests are accommodated in mountain cabins-bungalows and get acquainted with the setting of the camp and its surroundings. A shared dinner for all participants is scheduled for around 8 PM, featuring ethnic specialties of the local region on the menu (young lamb, veal, cheese, prosciutto, kajmak...), which then continues into an evening of socializing around the campfire with music, in the pleasant setting of the camp, late into the night...
