Overview
This tour with two rafting descents is designed for those seeking more than a single thrilling rafting experience down the rapids of the Tara River. The Tara River attracts thousands of tourists from all parts of the world. The Tara River canyon is the deepest in Europe and the second deepest canyon in the world, an undiscovered jewel in the heart of the old continent. A day spent on the Tara River passes quickly, so our recommendation is that, if you have the opportunity, you spend three days and two nights on this adventure, because you are sure to take home a suitcase full of unforgettable memories. Feel the magic of rafting on the most exciting section with the greatest number of rapids, from Brštanovica to Šćepan Polje, and not just once, but twice.
Itinerary
After arriving at the Hum–Šćepan Polje border crossing at the roughly agreed time (in the afternoon between 4 and 6 PM), a half-hour drive through the pleasant setting of the Tara River canyon follows, to the locality of Brštanovica, which is also the starting point for rafting and where our Camp Encijan is located. At Brštanovica itself, secure parking for personal vehicles is provided for all participants of the package. After being received at the camp and a welcome drink, guests are accommodated in mountain cabins-bungalows and get acquainted with the setting of the camp and its surroundings. A shared dinner for all participants is scheduled for around 8 PM, featuring ethnic specialties of the local region on the menu (young lamb, veal, cheese, prosciutto, kajmak...), which then continues into an evening of socializing around the campfire with music, in the pleasant setting of the camp, late into the night...
