D9 – Jeep Safari and Via Ferrata Durmitor

Meeting guests at an agreed location, such as our Encijan agency in the town of Foča or our camp in the very heart of the Tara canyon, in the morning hours (recommended time between 9 and 10 a.m.). After that come the preparations and packing for a mountain adventure in our off-road vehicles, known as the “Durmitor Ring”. The off-road vehicle adventure runs across Crkvičko Polje, Trsa and Sedlena Greda all the way to Žabljak. Along this route we will pass by numerous Durmitor peaks, such as Prutaš, Bobotov Kuk and Sedlena Greda, from where an impressive view opens onto the entire Durmitor massif. The whole territory of Durmitor National Park is notable for its large number of glacial lakes. Get your cameras ready and capture memories that will never be forgotten. At one of these viewpoints a picnic in nature will be organized for all participants. Take in this natural wonder of the world from a different angle: in a jeep, and enjoy one of the most beautiful panoramic viewpoints, „Štuoc“, which offers one of the finest views of the Tara canyon. The jeep safari tours give you the chance to drive across Durmitor's landscapes and roads in high-quality, modern off-road vehicles. Touring the Durmitor Ring is a great way to see several mountain peaks at once, without spending too much time or energy. This magnificent route will surprise you with breathtaking views, authentic villages and untouched nature. The way of life has been the same for hundreds of years. Driving the Durmitor Ring is a must for all nature lovers. The Via Ferrata begins at an altitude of 2,000 m and ends at 2,198 m. From the Uvita Greda rock, a view stretches out over a large number of peaks of the Durmitor mountain massif, as well as the Skoči Đevojka and Vojnik mountains. It is worth noting that there is also a chance you will see some of the wild animals that abound in the National Park. At the end comes the packing of the equipment, followed by transport in our off-road vehicles back to our camp, where after a hearty traditional lunch your tour comes to an end. You can also extend this tour with an additional overnight stay at our Encijan camp, in a unique oasis of peace and hedonism on a half-board basis, or combine it with any of the other tours from our offer.
