Overview

Escape the everyday life and embark on an unforgettable jeep safari through the unique environment of Perućica Rainforest, one of the best preserved rainforests in Europe. See an aray of rare flora and fauna, including 170 species of trees and shrubs, as well as over 1000 species of herbaceous plants. From the vantage point of Dragoš Sedlo and Prijevor plateau, witness the breathtaking views of Sutjeska National Park’s valleys and mountains, Perućica rainforest and Skakavac waterfall, which fells down from height of 75 meters.
This tour will be perfect for all of you who love off-road drives, places less visited and who don’t mind a bit of dust.

After accepting the guests at the agreed location, such as our agency Encijan in the city Foca or our camp in the very heart of the Tara canyon in the morning hours (recommended time between 9h-10h), the next is a transport to the destination.

Uponarival to our Camp Encijan follows preparations to primeval forest Perućica largest primeval forest in Europe. Transport by 4×4 vehicles to “Dragos sedlo” viewpoint at 1306 meters altitude, and after we park our vehicles we enter the forest and have opportunity to take photos of waterfall Skakavac at the very heart of the forest. We leave the forest and after 15 minutes drive we reach viewpoint Prijevor at altitude of 1,668m. An impressive sight on surrounding mountains: Maglicthe tallest one in Bosnia with 2,386m, and also Zelengora and Volujak. Upon arrival to Prijevor,we will makea short hiking tour and visit to shepherd settlements nearby, and afterwards picnic in the nature. As part of this arrangement (jeep safari tours), a picnic will be organized where you will enjoy traditional Bosnian organic cuisine, fresh air and beautiful landscapes that surround us.Return to Tjentisteis around 4p.m. with an option to visit the memorial Sutjeska Battle (WWII) at 5p.m. Transport to Foca is around 6p.m. where the arrangement ends.

You can also expand this arrangement with an additional night at our Encijan camp in the unique oasis of peace and hedonism combined with half board or with all other arrangements from our offer.

We are located at a starting point for rafting, place is called Brštanovica.
GPS coordinates of the camp: Latitude: 43.321849 | Longitude: 18.960388
Tourists should come to Šćepan Polje, that is the official B&H – MNE border crossing.We own a parking lot, you can leave your car or RV there, It will be safe. We will pick you up at Šćepan Polje and transport you to our camp. If you are in Foča, you can come to our agency, located in Krajiška 2. Agency is located in the city center, in a passage below the Mozzart restaurant.

You can pay with cash upon your arrival to our camp, that will not be a problem. Many passengers, backpackers and wanderers use this option because It is much easier.

Depends, in May, water level is very high, so you will have to come prepared, physically. In June and July, water levels are medium, so you don’t have to worry, It will not be hard, you can even bring kids. August and September- water level is low, perfect for family rafting.

You do not need to have previous experience, our skippers will brief you on everything that you need to know.

Basically, like in every other adventure, it is a bit dangerous, but we take all precautionary measures and focus on your security. So do not worry too much and enjoy your vacation.

You will be on a boat with other tourists. When the number of passengers reaches eight, we will assign a skipper and you are ready to go.

You are ALLOWED to use your own GoPro and other cameras. You will not be charged, there are no fees.
